25,600 Australians live with multiple sclerosis (MS).
The number of people diagnosed with MS every year is increasing.
_fname_, please donate to the powerful research that will give them their lives, independence and choices back.
_fname_, you can help change lives and find a cure for MS
Your gift to MS Research Australia will power globally-significant research conducted right here in Australia.
You’ll fund work by dedicated MS researchers like Professor David Tscharke and Associate Professor Yasmine Probst.
These two researchers don’t just understand the human cost of MS… they live it. Both Professor Tscharke and Associate Professor Probst have the disease, which makes them even more determined to unlock the secrets of MS and put a stop to it.
Associate Professor Yasmine Probst
"I was diagnosed with MS at age 22, but for a long time, I didn’t want people to know about it.
Over time, and after doing some initial research, I came to understand that MS does not have to control your life – you can control it.
My field of research is nutrition and dietetics, and I want to give people with MS more ways to stabilise their disease and improve the quality of their lives."
Alongside other researchers, Yasmine is working on new ways to improve quality of life and reverse the impacts of MS.
This vital work needs funding and we can’t do it without you.

But most importantly, _fname_, your gift will change the lives of people living with MS.
"When I was diagnosed with MS, there were no treatments available. Nothing. I just had to let the disease run its natural course. Today there are all kinds of drugs that can help. That progress gives me hope that one day researchers will find a cure."
